Dr. Carolyn Matzinger, M.D., is a pioneering physician whose career is defined by a deep commitment to truly connecting with her patients. A graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine (1987), Dr. Matzinger completed her Internal Medicine residency at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio in 1990. Her early foundation in Internal Medicine paved the way for her to become a leader in the fields of Functional, Longevity Wellness and Healing, Metabolic, and Regenerative Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine and currently holds licenses in Nevada, California, Ohio, Idaho, and Montana.
Dr. Matzinger’s journey took a profound turn when her son, Harley, was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome and survived a near-death experience. This personal chapter inspired her to delve deeper into metabolic and functional medicine, forever transforming her approach to healing. Today, she practices with a focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness—guiding her patients toward optimal health and vitality at every stage of life.

Her professional honors include being named Physician of the Year and receiving the Golden Stethoscope Aware from St. Rose Dominican Hospitals in 2005. That same year, she was also honored with the Quarterly Marcus Welby Award. She has been recognized among Las Vegas’ Top Doctors by Beauty, Health, & Fitness Magazine and was named among the Top Docs and Dentists in Las Vegas in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
